Is this illegal internet activity?
A few months ago I had a spat with the moderator of a popular forum site. This all came about when a forum dove into innocent arguing—no threats were made, I don't remember any swearing, but yes, things got a tad heated, and a few condescending jabs were thrown. I felt unfairly targeted, as one of the other posters became very patronizing and abusive, and as a response, I defended myself accordingly. Because I was a newbie to the site, I think I took most of the brunt, basically being told I wasn't playing nice in the sandbox with the other kids. It was stupid. It's a forum mostly chucked full of adults, who I am sure can take some heat of their own. I did question the ethics of the moderator pointing me out, and said that if I had made a monetary donation to the forum, he would probably being treating me better. I'm still not sure if I would ever want to join again because many of the members seemed to be apart of a milquetoast cult. I am able to access the site to read old forums, but I'm not sure if I would run into legal problems if I ever tried to sign up again with a different email and username.
