Fashion careers and schools?

Hi! What's great about the fashion industry (and why my friend wanted a career in the field) is because the fashion industry is number one for jobs in California! The hub of fashion is in the fashion district in downtown LA and what's even better is there's an awesome fashion college that's in downtown called FIDM/The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (www.fidm.edu) that offers different majors in the fashion and entertainment industry! Here's a few of the majors they offer in the fashion industry: Fashion Design, Textile Design, Merchandise Marketing, Merchandise Product Development, Theatre Costume Design just to name a few. The fashion industry is so much more than just designing and FIDM knows that and that's why my friend decided to go to school there. She majored in Visual Communications and is now a fashion stylist for Saks Fifth Avenue. Also many other famous people went to school there including one of the founders of Juicy Couture and among many other famous grads. If you want more info about the school, I would go on their website and take a look at each of the majors and see which one fits for you. Here's a link I found on their website that's a career quiz and may help you out: a href="http://fidm.edu/academics/career-quiz/" rel="nofollow"http://fidm.edu/academics/career-quiz//a But going on the website to get in touch with an advisor to answer your questions is also the way to go. FIDM's website is: www.fidm.edu. Good Luck!
