Brainstorming book ideas and plots looking for logic and help?

So here is the main plot of a story I've been thinking about writing for awhile. It takes place in a post nuclear war earth. The radiation and destruction from all the bombs has effected the whole entire world world technology has been reset and the people are different. Except for one boy the main character who is unchanged and normal. I was thinking sort of like a super hero tale, where everyone has some sort of power but our hero never gets his. When word gets out about this normal boy a lot of people start hunting him because tghey believe he is the key to unlcok the promise land, which is a place unaffected by the war but all radiated people can't venture on to it. (Antartica.) Possibly some treasure or secret there... anyway I have the idea I just need a little shove to get writing. Anyone got any ideas how this world would work methods of transportation social structures ect what kind of powers or difference the people cn have apart from the main character. I'm mainly writing this for fun but if I use ur idea and get it published I could owe you something lol. Btw not sure how this text will write out since I'm on my phone atm thanks for any help
