Strange nasal issues... snot, snarfing, all kinds of good stuff?

I am going to suggest, buying a humidifyer and making him sit next to it with a towel over them both. I believe he is suffering from his saliva and snot becoming too thick, this may be a result of different dairy products, like milk and cheese, that are probably coating his throat and making him hoff and cough!!
