People to People Leadership Summit 2009?

So I received a letter in the mail a few weeks ago which was an official invitation to attend the People to People Leadership Summit at one of several Colleges across the United States. Now I live in Canada so I don't know which one I will go to or how my airfare will work, but that isn't really the question. What I wanted to ask was if anyone knew anything about the program and if it was worthwhile (since it costs $2500-3000). Perhaps if anyone who has been on it or knows anyone who was on it could offer some advice. I also want to get a job this summer since I am off to college myself next year and I want to see if this program is actually going to help me and open doors or not.
