My only advice is to tell you to consider what happens to that tape if/when you two are not friends any longer some day. Will it show up online or will he show it to friends of his? Believe me, it could cause you some serious problems down the road. If you aren't comfortable doing it on a tape, don't do it. Make a compromise and offer to show him in person if you really must go through with this. Don't make a recording of it....
